Thanks. Yours is the kindest, and most sensitive review our record has got so far; It makes me happier than the one in The Wire! Now, seriously, i´m glad you note the conscious attempt to introduce a sense of risk onto a scene that is becoming increasingly self-indulgent, IMHO.

While I wholeheartedly agree with identifying that "The majority of these artists also appear to be operating in relative isolation with respect to local music scenes..", I would have though this is fairly self-evident, as this music has - as you say yourself - a "predisposition to the more cerebral and marginalised elements of contemporary culture", and is thus truly an 'outsider' music (as opposed to - for sake of argument - various emo / goth / metal scenes, that portray themselves as such, but are not). That aside, the book is by and large refreshingly free of the pretentious, over-intellectual verbiage that 'artists' in this field often seem to think is necessary in defining their work. This more straightforward approach of NVO11 definitely works to its advantage. I truly hope it's influence extends much wider than the limited edition of 500 would otherwise imply.

What a concept....in a time of desoloation deep freeze seems fitting for the docile state of people living in a post post modern era of consumption, capitalist beliefs and utter isolation from eachother. This tundra exists in our minds and souls. Never stop wondering into unknown forests at night, and remember to listen to the footsteps of those who walk beside you in spirit. Escape.
